Year 3 are Scientists!

This week we have continued writing our version of The Magic Paintbrush. We have been introduced to the evil Emperor and we enjoyed writing descriptions of him.

In the afternoons, we have been finding out about forces. We found lots of pushes and pulls around school before talking about friction. We then designed a fair test to find out which surface created the most and least friction for a toy car. 

In our music lessons we have been learning some harvest songs, ready for the harvest festival in a few weeks time. We are also having great fun working together to learn a country dance.

In our weekly French lesson, we were learning how to pronounce 'bonjour' correctly.

Next week, we are looking forward to continuing our science work as we move on to learning about magnets.
