Comic Relief Time Again!
Red Nose Day ends the week!
Despite the obvious strains of organising different things, I have quite enjoyed this week across the Federation.
Jokes were all around today as we finished the week in the sunshine on Red Nose Day, raising money for the Comic Relief cause. We have shared a QR code to enable people to donate more conveniently to the charity rather than handing in £1 to the school. This is also our preferred option. The children all looked great with their classic red noses and red outfits, (even if some were wearing Manchester United shirts!).
On Thursday, many of our children went over with several of the Infant children to take part in the Norfolk County Music Festival at the King's Centre in Norwich. Here, they sang two songs prepared and rehearsed with Mrs. White-Joubert and I have to say they performed these superbly in front of five other schools and a large gathering of spectators. Most of whom were Ormesby fans, as there was a huge cheer when we were introduced but also an even bigger one when we had finished singing. Thank you to all our staff and helpers, thank you to Mrs. White-Joubert and thank you to all our families who came to support the school. A great day out!
On Friday, the Years 5 & 6 girls' football team went over to North Denes to play their respective team and they all played exceptionally well. Whenever the children represent the school, they always perform to their very best and it is a privilege to see the spirit they approach matches in.
Next week, we have our Junior Curriculum Celebration Event on Tuesday 25th March at 2:30pm and we have our non-uniform (sports' clothing) day for an Easter egg donation on Friday 28th March. This day is also our virtual lacrosse competition with Premier Sports, which is why we have asked for all children to be in sports clothing. We also have three more football fixtures to look forward to as we push towards getting them all completed and remain in contention for a league and cup double for both boys and girls.
Have a great weekend everyone.
