Eggceptional Day!
Easter Events come together on the final day!
It was great to see everyone enjoying the Easter events today as we drew the Spring term to a close. We had our Easter Egg Decoration entrants from each class displaying their imaginative creations and the winners received an Easter treat. Well done to all those who took part in this small bit of fun. Just make sure you do not eat all that chocolate at once.
Across the day, each class got to enjoy an obscure sport and this was Ultimate Frisbee with Premier Sports for their end of half-term treat. It was great to see each class braving the chilly conditions and at one point there was actually snow. The children were extremely excited.
The Easter eggs we had collected from parental and local business donations enabled us to gift each child one, and then raffle off the remaining amount. The ladies from our new PTFA came in to draw the raffle and lots of children won eggs from this. Well done to all lucky winners. It does not matter if you did not win an egg, it is simply a game of luck. A big thank you to all who donated eggs for the children to enjoy. We raised a good amount of money from raffle ticket sales, which the PTFA will now put towards their savings for their improvement project. This will be shared soon, so watch this space.
After school, the boys' football team had a tough match against a strong all year 6 team from Martham. We may have suffered a defeat, but there were some good individual performances again, and it was a chance for some boys to play a full match. The school is very proud of all the team. We must keep going to the next game.
Well, I hope the weather improves for our holidays and everyone remembers to stay safe. We will see you all again on Wednesday 20th April 2022.
