Silver Award in History - Quality!
School awarded Silver in the Quality Mark Assessment and an Outstading judgement for Behaviour and Attitudes by Ofsted!
It has been another busy week and a particular highlight for me has been the opportunity for parents to visit to sit with their children and go through what they have been learning. It was great to hear how well the children spoke about their books and the different topics they have enjoyed. Well done everyone and we look forward to the next one in Spring.
I have to say in the last few weeks I have been made to feel so proud by the children and the staff team for their efforts in achieving the fantastic Ofsted result we did. To achieve any Outstanding judgement is quite an accomplishment and please be reassured we were forensically assessed by two qualified Lead Inspectors. To embellish this further, we also achieved a high Silver grade for our History Quality Mark, but with a couple of minor tweaks, we could be upgraded to Gold. Fingers crossed for this. A huge well done to everyone involved.
Friday saw our Family Carol Service take place and I was thrilled to see some many Juniors reading and singing their hearts out in the choir, as well as with their families. It really was a privilege. There is nothing better than singing Christmas carols in Church because it gives everyone such an uplifting experience. Everyone sung well and I hope enjoyed the event.
Next week, we have our Junior Carol Concert on Tuesday 2pm and 6pm, so please make sure you have acquired your tickets and bring them with you on the day. We are limited to the number of spaces due to fire safety, so please be courteous to staff if there are no spare tickets available for wider family members.
Have a great weekend everyone!
