A Welcome Return

Brand New Playground Equipment courtesy of the PTFA

Welcome back after our half-term break. Thankfully, I do feel better than I did prior to the holiday. It is good to be back seeing everyone once again.

As you can see from the picture above, our PTFA have kindly purchased new playground equipment for all our pupils to enjoy using during their breaktimes. Here, our Sports Committee members are celebrating the new items. Thank you must go to the PTFA for getting yet more resources for us with the funds that have been raised from the various events.

This half-term there will be the remaining football fixtures for both the boys and the girls to complete, so apologies for all the letters that were distributed earlier in the week. These include both cup and league fixtures. Friday saw both teams in action against respective teams from Northgate Primary School and I am pleased to announce that both teams claimed victories. Both Northgate teams played really well and showed a determination throughout the matches. Nevertheless, our children played excellently and conducted themselves in the correct manner. We are all very proud of them. A massive thank you to Mr. Pamplin and Mr. Pinder for refereeing and to all the support from our spectators.

Miss. McMylor and I have checked our bees and they have been busy over the Winter surviving ready for the new Spring and Summer season. They looked well, but we have bulked them out by giving them some fondant and are looking forward to getting our pupils (those who we have consent for) in small groups working with them.

Next week, we have our World Book Day celebrations on Wednesday 5th March, so remember that pupils can come dressed up, should they want to, as their favourite book character, in pyjamas (bedtime stories) or if they prefer not to dress up, they can simply come in uniform as normal. We will also have PC. Martin visiting to hold an assembly regarding Online Bullying and the Dangers of Social Media on Thursday 6th March.

Have a great weekend everyone!
