Any More For The Raffle!
Spring Term ends with Easter Fever!
Well, we have reached the end of the Spring Term and it has been a busy climax today with the Decorated Egg Competition and the raffle all taking place. I have to say, I think this year's decorated eggs were some of the best yet, because we had some extremely imaginative and creative examples and it was extremely hard for myself and Miss. McMylor to select a winner from. The children were also gifted an egg each, so we thank the Spar in the village for their kind donations.
I have included this photograph above to showcase another poignant egg creation, because as the temperature warms up our bees are beginning to venture out to find fresh forage for the hive. In the Summer term, Miss. McMylor and I will ensure the children with permission to do so, will suit up and get the chance to experience some bee-keeping. That should be a new experience for them.
Hopefully, all our parents were able to speak to their children's teachers at the parent-teacher meetings this week after having been in to see books and all had received the termly reports. If this was not the case, I encourage parents to arrange a call in the new term.
It was great to see Rev. Jo this week who came in to deliver our Easter Assembly. She has not been in for a little while, but she certainly got the audience involved and the children were attentively listening.
The boys' and girls' Years 5 and 6 football teams have provided the school with such great successes and prideful moments recently with victories, but it is not over and we want the joy to continue, if possible, as the boys enter into a cup semi-final and league final, and the girls enter into a cup final and league final too. Come on Ormesby!
Remember we return on Tuesday 22nd April.
Have a lovely, relaxing Easter everyone!
