Female Football Frenzy!
Girls' Football Tournament sees a superb hat-trick seal victory in the final game!
What a fantastically important end to the week today, where both schools from within the Federation joined together with the Church, Royal British Legion and the community to pay collective respect to those who have given their lives for our freedom. Behaviour from the children was impeccable throughout and I was thrilled with how we were able to conduct this occasion once again, in order to keep alive the meaning and the importance for future generations. Well done everyone!
Helping the Infants to get to and from the memorial were the Junior Leadership Team and while they waited for the correct departure time, the children heard younger children read in the library and then went outside to lead break time games. What a super bunch they are. The younger pupils loved having them there and to be honest, I think the Juniors rather enjoyed it too.
The Years 5 & 6 girls' football team began their season by participating in the Flegg High Academy tournament. After starting slowly, the girls grew into the proceedings and ended with a four to nothing victory overcoming two earlier, narrow defeats. Very proud of all players, some of whom had never played competitively before.
Next week on Monday, we are promoting Anti-Bullying Week, so remember your need to wear odd socks and on Friday we are wearing non-uniform in honour of Children in Need, which is another very worthy cause.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
