All Hands on Deck!
This is the blog post for the week commencing 21/11/2022
This week was a week full of activity in 3GV!
On Monday, we read our new class reader which is a poem called Summer is Here; and developed our group discussion and debate skills when trying to re-arrange the jumbled up poem into its true shape. We had an afternoon jam-packed with computing tasks or, for those who wished, watched the Football kick off!
On Tuesday, we had our postponed session with the bush-craft expert in for the whole morning and then finished off the afternoon with some music.
We began our new topic on Wednesday which is Geography, the UK! We have learnt about countries, cities, rivers and seas of the UK so far using our skills for using an Atlas.
We welcomed some senior family members into the lunch hall with Year 3 on Thursday, enjoying a delightful Christmas themed meal and a wonderful performance from the choir.
Lastly, FRIDAY! We started off the morning making our wonderful decorations for the Infant school - creating large snowflakes and painted glass decorations. In English, we have been exploring the season of Autumn and took our lessons out into the open. We ventured outside the classroom and used our observation skills to find evidence in the outdoor surroundings that shows Autumn is Here.
What a great week!
