A Scary Week
Minibeasts and Scarecrows!
In LN this week we have been dealing with multiple scary things! Firstly we have been making a scarecrow for the Martham Scarecrow festival at the weekend with the help of Izzie Wilson from the Sixth Form College. As I write this blog, it is still headless but I will upload a photo when it's completed. Look out for it this bank holiday when you visit the festival!
Secondly, to kick off our Living Things and their Habitats science work, we had a visit from Ed and his minibeasts- very scary but very interesting and informative! We will be learning more about these fascinating creatures and their life cycles in the coming weeks.
We have been looking at pictures of flowers in Art and have used pencils to sketch them and oil pastels to produce some colourful versions. In English we are looking at a book called The Journey and have discussed refugees and the difficult journeys they have to make through no fault of their own.
